JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Weather.com Account Manager is responsible for developing all advertising and business opportunities in the assigned geographic territory. The Account Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and growing existing clients, while working as a team player within Weather.com to exceed annual goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Activity
    • Generate customer leads
    • Schedule and complete client presentations
    • Develop client solutions and proposals
    • Manage customer / client relationships through full sales cycle

  2. Revenue
    • Achieve individual revenue goals for weather.com
    • Follow pricing policies to maximize revenue
    • Work with all available sources to identify potential customers
    • Manage and develop solutions that optimize customer satisfaction
    • Develop and maintain relations with the largest clients and prospects

  3. Administrative
    • Prepare weekly revenue reports, including projections of future business
    • Manage expenses responsibly
    • Communicate effectively with Marketing Associate
    • Lead Ad Master efforts to superior customer service

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/ Skills/ Education):

  1. Knowledge

    • Required:
      1. Outside Media Sales experience (2 years +)
      2. Full Sales Cycle Experience (from prospecting through account maintenance)
      3. Consultative Sales experience
      4. Proposal writing experience
      5. Bachelor’s Degree

    • Preferred:
      1. Internet Ad Sales experience
      2. Advertising Agency background
      3. Master’s Degree
  2. Skills
    • Experience developing client proposals/ presentations
    • Experience identifying and establishing prospect lists
    • Experience working with internal production team
    • Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans

  3. Behavior
    • Self-motivated to EXCEED company objectives
    • Analytical skills to translate customer needs into solutions
    • Flexible to review own progress and adapt to changing objectives of the market
    • Articulate communicator
    • Professional Demeanor
    • Team Player
    • Personal / Professional Integrity

  4. Physical Requirements
    • Ability to travel to client sites with in designated region to make client presentations.
    • Travel away from base office is approximated at 25%.
