Job Title: Director Channel Development

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Director Channel Development will develop and implement processes for incubating and quickly growing weather.com non-Web platforms, including email, wireless Short Messaging Services, desktop applications, online affiliate program, and Internet appliances. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing a business plan for each platform in conjunction with channel managers, including shared responsibility for developing (including build/buy decisions), distributing, marketing, and evolving channels. He or she will ultimately be responsible for the rapid growth of each channel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop consistent processes for channel development
Interface with technical, ad sales, marketing, business development, and content development groups in weather.com
Design measures to monitor results and facilitate rapid channel growth
Forecast channel growth and resulting infrastructure needs
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/ Skills/ Education):
BA/BS in Business Administration or Marketing (Masters preferred)
Minimum of 5 years combined experience in product management
Experience with developing and implementing Internet marketing programs/projects
Budget and P&L experience
Cross-functional skills and experience in growing Internet businesses
Strong ability to manage and coordinate across non-direct reports
Ability to motivate and coach channel managers
Strong product management skills
Very detail orientated, with ability to prioritize
Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment
Problem solver and facilitator
Business planning, forecasting, and analytical skills
