Work with leaders at all levels to assess departmental, team, and/or individual developmental needs using a variety of diagnostic tools & models.
Identify business performance gaps and partner with leaders to plan and execute improvement strategies.
Develop and facilitate appropriate interventions: facilitation, training, coaching, counseling, modeling and, referrals to appropriate resources.
Provide counsel and support on use of HR forms, policies, procedures, and benefits.
Provide guidance and appropriate referrals on matters relating to immigration and visas.
Recommend appropriate policy and procedure changes and helps institute as required.
Foster understanding and compliance with EEO, Affirmative Action & Diversity policies, procedures & initiatives.
Assist in development and execution of departmental hiring and retention strategies.
Help management identify functional competencies and job description requirements.
Help leaders navigate through the hiring process.
Provide guidance regarding Career Banding process including recommendations for appropriate market pricing studies; assist in development and implementation of compensation strategies as required.
Assist management with Employee Survey action planning and follow up.
Provide direction on the appropriate use of all The Weather Channel (TWC) recognition systems.
Assist management in the process of organization redesign and managing change.
Counsel & instruct managers and employees in the optimum use of Performance Management & Career Development tools & systems.
Facilitate & conduct group and individual employee relations interventions.
Provide guidance regarding documentation of performance issues and disciplinary steps in accordance with legal guidelines.
Provide assistance in the development and implementation of career development plans and career ladders.
Assist management with development and execution of succession planning strategies.
Help build fluency in team performance skills (problem solving, process analysis, team maturity, meeting effectiveness, customer service, effective communications, goal setting, measurement, and team building).
Help link team objectives to company strategic themes through development and alignment of scorecards.
Provide just-in-time and classroom training, as well as referrals to external learning sources.
Recommend and/or develop tools to respond to team performance gaps as needed.
Facilitate planning and conduct of meetings (on-site and offsite).
Provide coaching and feedback to teams and leaders on skill development and recommend courses of action.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, or related field required, Masters preferred.
Minimum of five years directly related experience, with minimum of two years in supervisory/management position.
Excellent communication skills (expresses ideas clearly, is easily understood, and is effective in getting ideas across, both verbally and in writing).
Proficient computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Strong project management skills.
Track record of generating novel ways to improve business performance.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Travel to regional offices and 2nd shift assignments as needed.
