JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Manager, Compensation and Benefits will apply knowledge and understanding of compensation and benefit programs and processes in support of company’s business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and evaluate market trends, best practices and competitive information, and recommend actions and solutions.
Lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefit programs including: base pay, total rewards, incentive compensation performance management systems, and a variety of qualified and non qualified benefit plans.
Develop and communicate compensation policies and procedures, including salary administration, merit increases, promotional guidelines, salary ranges, job evaluation, and market pricing.
Manage company’s participation in salary surveys and industry specific functions.
Oversee benefits function to improve systems, streamline processes, and increase automation.
Develop high quality benefits and compensation communications programs.
Manage benefits group, which provides assistance to employees, their families, managers, HR team, new hire candidates and others.
Oversee relationship with company’s third party administrators to ensure efficient management of company’s benefit programs.
Monitor competitiveness of employer paid benefits and investigate the addition of employee paid benefits such as vision care, long term care, group auto and homeowners, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/ Skills/ Education):
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
5-7 years progressive HR experience with strong emphasis in Compensation and Benefits.
Broad knowledge of benefit plans, compensation strategies, data management and compliance, and reporting requirements.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) preferred.
Proven vendor management skills.
Experience managing HRIS (ADP/PeopleSoft and HRIS implementation experience desirable).
Strong customer services skills including ability to mediate and provide problem resolution.
Excellent people management skills including strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage complex projects and initiatives simultaneously in a changing and dynamic environment.
