JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Compensation and Human Resources Analyst will assist in the analysis and development of competitive compensation and benefit programs, policies, and procedures. This individual will contribute to the effective management of a variety of benefit /compensation/recognition plans/processes. He or she will provide design, documentation, communication, administration, and reporting support of various benefit and compensation programs. The Compensation and Human Resources Analyst will provide analysis of data and trends to support business alignment and provide consultative support that enables the organizations to effectively reward and motivate retain high quality associates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be responsible for administering and communicating all incentive compensation plans (including quarterly and annual short-term incentive plans, dividend unit plans, and phantom stock option plan).
Maintain all databases, eligibility, compilation of results, calculation of awards, and provide incentive participation and pay-out statements for all incentive compensation plans.
Evaluate positions utilizing market data and internal comparison analysis.
Conduct and participate in compensation surveys and review established pay structures to ensure local and national competitiveness.
Support development and communication of incentive and variable pay programs and systems.
Monitor compensation practices to ensure compliance with laws and regulations (FLSA, ADA, etc).
Ensure appropriate classification of employees including verifying independent contractor status.
Analyze market data to assess competitive market position and determine potential compensation gaps and recommend solutions.
Provide guidance and make recommendations to management on compensation issues.
Analyze benefit programs costs, assist in evaluating new providers, and recommend changes as supported by analysis.
Perform data extracts and analysis as necessary to support business needs.
Provide ad hoc reporting support.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/ Skills/ Education):
BA or BS in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting or related field.
Two to four years of compensation, financial analysis, or related experience.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills in this fast paced environment.
Self-starter and detail oriented, must be able to work with little direction.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Access) are required.
Experience with base pay administration and incentive compensation administration preferred.
Hands-on experience with database applications and HRIS is highly desirable.
